Piano beginner question?

Posted by admin on December 20th, 2009 and filed under Uncategorized | 3 Comments »

I was thinking about taking piano lessons. Before i do that though my parents would like me to learn the basics. If anybody has recommendations or tips on what to do, how to learn the basics (books/online), or what books/websites are best, would be really appreciated. I am planning on learning ONLY the basics first. Thank you.

The basics are what you need to learn with your piano teacher. It’s very important to start on the right track, or else you’ll develop bad habits that will be very difficult to correct later on. Unless, of course, you’re talking about music theory, which you MAY be able to catch on to without a teacher.

I’m a beginner too, and I like to play , Mary had a Little Lamb, and the General Lee horn sound.

    Mary had a little lamb

BAGABBBAAABBBBAGABBBABABAG [three keys. B= last key A = middle G= first]

    General Lee

    BAGGGGABBBA

What Little Vamp said. You should do it the other way around. Get a piano teacher THEN learn by yourself. (After only a certain amount of time of course)
